Day 1 · Marrakech → High Atlas → Ait Benhaddou → Dades Valley
Depart Marrakech in the morning and begin the climb into the High Atlas Mountains through the winding Tizi n’Tichka Pass. Stop for panoramic views and continue to Ait Benhaddou, Morocco’s most famous fortified village and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After time to explore the kasbah and enjoy lunch nearby, continue through Ouarzazate and the Valley of Roses toward Dades Valley. Arrive in the evening, check into your accommodation, and enjoy dinner.
Day 2 · Dades Valley → Todra Gorge → Merzouga → Camel Trek → Desert Camp
After breakfast, continue through desert gateway towns and oasis landscapes toward Todra Gorge, where towering canyon walls create one of southern Morocco’s most dramatic natural sights. After time to walk through the gorge and enjoy the scenery, drive onward to Merzouga. In the late afternoon, meet your camel caravan and ride into the dunes of Erg Chebbi as the sun begins to set. Arrive at camp, settle into your tent, enjoy dinner, music, and a memorable night in the Sahara.
Day 3 · Sunrise in the Desert → Merzouga → Return Journey
Wake early for sunrise over the dunes, one of the most memorable moments of the trip. After breakfast at camp, return by camel or 4x4 to the village edge, then begin the drive back with scenic stops along the way. Pass through desert towns, valleys, and mountain landscapes before arriving back in Marrakech in the evening.
