This is a long day — but worth every kilometre. The journey takes you from Marrakech across the High Atlas Mountains via the spectacular Tizi n'Tichka pass, through changing landscapes and Berber villages, to one of the most extraordinary places in all of Morocco: Ait Ben Haddou. Ait Ben Haddou is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and has served as a backdrop for some of cinema's most famous productions — from Gladiator and Lawrence of Arabia to Game of Thrones Season 3. Your guide will bring the history and architecture to life as you explore this remarkable fortified village. The highest point we reach on the way is 2,226 metres above sea level with views of Mt Toubkal. The return crosses the mountains from the opposite side, with additional scenic stops along the way.

Drive back to Marrakech via a different road across the mountains — more scenery, more views, and additional stops for refreshments along the way. Arrive back in Marrakech in the evening.
